you know what was a crap idea?
not learning to drive when I was 16. but I didn’t think of that at the time, and now I’m 23 with a bike and a multi trip. I don’t ask for lifts, I don’t make my lack of a driver’s license anyone else’s burden - I walk, ride, catch public transport etc, and I do pretty well I think. I also save tons of money.
the only thing I hate about this situation, is not being able to drive other people around, and most of all, being made to feel like a loser. so: unless you’re offering me driving lessons/supervised driving hours - don’t tell me to get my lisence, don’t tell me to get driving lessons.. maybe the next time I have a spare few thousand $$$, I’ll pay an instructor for 50 hours of driving. in the meantime, I’ll keep paying to fund my independence - or maybe you should move out of home? isn’t it about time? .. annoying, huh?
